One Daddy, Many Roles!

May 31st, 2013 by 123gBlogTeam

123Greetings celebrates Father’s Day with great enthusiasm. We believe that the special bond between father and child should be cherished and celebrated. Father’s contribution in shaping a child’s life is immense and hence he deserves appreciation for the hard-work he puts in.
Dads play multiple roles daily, many of which go unnoticed. They are efficient in some roles and not so great in others. Nevertheless without them our lives won’t run as smoothly.

Here are few popular roles they play in our lives and things they do especially for us.

Chef

Father's DaySome Dads are the best cooks and surprise us with their culinary tricks. Even after a long day at work Dads enjoy making a sumptuous meal for us and in case they can’t cook they are always willing for takeaways. Hence it’s a win-win!

Story Teller:

Father's Day
Probably one of the hardest jobs for dads is to put the little ones to bed. But surprisingly, some are even good at that! They tell us beautiful stories of kings and queens and treat us the same. When they run out of stories, they innovate and never fall short of our fairytale expectations.

Coach:

Father's Day
Dad taught us Baseball, to hit goals in Soccer, to shoot Hoops, and took us for our first round of Golf. He spent his afternoons driving us to and fro from practice or playing with us in the backyard. Our flair for sports may have been honed by him.

Tutor:

Father's Day
Who helps us solve the most complex algebra problems? Or breaks down physics theories? Dads may not be the ideal go-to person but they sure are more hard-working than us. They‘ll read our books; spend hours learning just so that they can help us understand. After all, they don’t want to compromise on their role model image!

Advisor:

Father's Day
Dad took us for a walk and cheered us up every time we felt low. Whether it was problems with friends, academic challenges or career shaping decisions, he helped us pass through all. He made the biggest issues seem miniscule and shared such words of wisdom that left an impression.

These are just a few examples but there are plenty more they do for us. This Father’s Day acknowledge their significance in your life and let them know how important they are to you. A small expression of gratitude in the form of ecards can brighten their day. No matter how small or big a role they play in your life, let Dads know what you enjoy the most. Which role of his is important to you and which one you treasure the most?

Tell us which is your Favorite role of your Dad?
Post your comments below so we can create ecards for the most popular roles played by Dads. Feel free to suggest ideas for ecards you’d like us to create for them. Don’t limit this to only your Dads; this could be for Grandfathers, God fathers or Father Figures.
We will provide you with the link to the ecards that have been created based on your inputs.

Please note: By posting your comments you allow us to use your ideas to create ecards for different Roles of Fathers. Our Editors reserve the right to choose ideas they deem suitable for our website and audience.

Is Your Mom The Best In The World?

April 8th, 2013 by 123gBlogTeam

More often than not, the most valuable things in life get the least amount of recognition. A mother is one of those people taken for granted by all. “Whatever sacrifice she makes is something that needn’t be fretted upon, as it is, but, her job description… It is by default!”- That’s the shameful thought of a good lot of children around the world. Maybe, it’s time to change… One greeting card at a time this Mother’s Day!

Click to submit your story

We, here, at 123Greetings have a burning desire to celebrate events and festive occasions of all kinds, with the aim of nurturing relationships that deserve more respect than what they have now. One of the ways of understanding what your mother means to you is by talking about her, introspecting and understanding her contribution to you, your family and sometimes, the world. A little gesture by her could have changed your life… After all, she gave you life.

Think long and hard about those moments that you never made an effort to recall until today. There should be those countless special moments. The problem is not about the lack of moments when she stood for you and gave you solace and inspiration, but the tough part is to put a finger on that specific moment that stands unique for you as her child.

Once you’ve been able to get your thoughts together and are able to pinpoint that one special memory that lingers, share it with us along with your mom’s name on our Facebook event page. Names of moms from the 1,000 most liked stories get featured on an ecard we’re designing especially for them, and 100 most liked stories get published in an ebook we’ll be releasing on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2013.

Of course, the love that she’s showered on you and all that she’s done for you can never be repaid. But a small gesture from your end to show how much she is loved and how grateful you are to her would mean the world to her!

Share your story here https://www.facebook.com/events/361906770585827/, don’t wait till the last minute, and be the son or daughter your mother would be proud of!

Happy Mother’s Day!

    April 7th, 2011 by 123gBlogTeam

When you receive an ecard you always want to say “Thank You” to appreciate the sender’s gesture. Earlier after receiving an ecard one had to go to the Thank You categories, choose a card and then send it to the sender. The usual process we have followed until now once we received an ecard was to go hunting for a Thank You card to send to the sender.

Now, we have made the process real simple. You will find a Thank You card awaiting to be sent to the receiver once you are through appreciating the card from the receiver. And know what, it is a one-click-and-send process!

    How about that?!

We are providing you list of 15 most popular cards of the respective Thank You section at the bottom of the card received by you. You need to write a message (optional) and send it to the ecard sender.

Just give it a try and we can bet, the process won’t take more than a few seconds! And if you are already using this feature, we would appreciate your feedback!
